The Cressi Digi 2 takes submersible pressure gauges (SPG) to the next level. Now here's why I use it & trust it.

1 . The Cressi Digi 2, as being a digital SPG, is more accurate than its analog representatives and when you start it up it runs through a pressure check to see if everything is working. It offers a precision of 0,1 bar (1,45 psi) - you can switch between the different units by using the magnet in the cover. Great feature, so you don't need a knob for this. And personally I like reading digital numbers more than analogue scale. Maybe a little nerdy ;-). Being digital it's of course battery powered (I have ~100 dives on mine and it's far away from being empty) and if so it gives you a warning and you can replace the battery in a brief moment by yourself)

2. The high contrast display is a pleasure to look at. With its luminescent background it's always easy to read even in harsher conditions. The current tank pressure pops at first sight out and starts to blink when it falls under 50 bar (725 psi), but also the other informations are sorted and clear. Wait ... other informations ? I thought it's just a digital SPG !? And that brings me to number 3.

3. The Cressi 2 is more than just a digital SPG. Besides the tank pressure it tells you: depth, maximum reached depth, temperature, dive time and range. What ? Range ! how crazy is that ? and that brings me to 4.

4. Okay, here it gets real crazy. The Cressi Digi 2 measures your air consumption and sets it in relation to your current depth which will give you the range in minutes until you reach 50 bar (725 psi). Normally this is a feature you find only in air integrated dive computers and thus at a different price tag. So with the Cressi Digi 2 you can "upgrade" your non air integrated dive computer.

5. And at least consider this: with all this informations it gives you a smart backup to your dive computer ( ! it's not a dive computer with deco algorithm ! ) But if your dive computer fails you can still see your depth. Wich isn't the worst thing in such a situation.

And at the end if those features convinced you there is a little customization feature. You can change the protection cover to a different color. I choose the pink one - why ? because it's a f****** cool color and most divers don't go for it ;-) - and my personal little tribute to Woody Alpern (Dive Talk) ^^
